Story
I’m raising money for the amazing Martha’s trust who provide residential care for those with profound physical and learning disabilities. They really do enrich people’s lives. Their efforts have helped some folk, thought not to be able to even communicate (who are well into their late teens) - talk to the their families for the first time through eye movement technology. Imagine communicating with you kids for the first time, after years of thinking you weren’t able to! But it’s so expensive and they aren’t a rich charity, so they have to share that software amongst residence - imagine you or your fam not having their own voice - or access to to communicate whenever you want.
For others it's far simpler life stimulation through light or water therapy. They don't have loads of money and this all stops without the generosity of people like you. The residence, can remain their for their whole lives. The staff and residence are a truly amazing bunch and Chloe and I have been so moved by their stories (that sounded very Charles and Camilla - but it's true). Anything you can spare will do some real good.
I"m running those bastard hills of Hastings in my first ever half marathon (I know I know I know - I don't have the knees, hips, cheeks, or general body for it - but you'd be surprised how much the all those taunts about how fat my head was as a teenager can still drive you up a hill)
Love you!
Ollie
