*A quick update on the challenge.*
Unfortunately, following advice from my physio, I’ve had to postpone the half marathon after picking up an IT band and meniscus injury. I’ve been advised to take around eight weeks out from running to recover properly.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated and supported me so far, it genuinely means a lot.
This is very much postponed, not cancelled. I’ll complete the half marathon once I’m fit to do so and make sure I finish what I started.
There are a few other challenges in the works too, so more to come. For now, the priority is getting the knee right and coming back properly.
Thank you again for all the support.

Last year I ran the London Marathon and, in the euphoria of the finish line, announced I'd take on another endurance challenge the following summer. Turns out one event wasn't ambitious enough — this year I'm doing two.
Dorney Olympic Triathlon — 30 August 2026: 1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run. My first triathlon of any kind, let alone Olympic distance.
Battersea Half Marathon — September 2026: 13.1 miles, roughly three weeks later, on legs that will still be recovering from the first one.
This time I'm raising money for ADHD UK, which receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations to do its work.
Last year, an incredible number of you sponsored my marathon and helped raise £1,660. I'm not expecting a repeat, and nobody owes me a second donation, but if you can spare something towards a target of £1,000, or just share the page, it all helps.
Two events, six weeks apart, and probably a similar post from me this time next year. Thanks for reading.
Olly
