My feet have trekked many miles on this earth over paths in the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp, The Grand Canyon, Yosemite and other US National Parks and many peaks in the UK. This year I am attempting 55 miles in 2 days over Dartmoor wearing a full pack and carrying food, water and sleeping kit that will total about 18kg.

My daughter Elsie attends South Dartmoor Community College and this year I am raising money for the school by participating in a 55 mile trek over Dartmoor in 2 days as part of the parents 10 Tors Challenge.

The school provides the students with equipment such as tents, compasses, maps, stoves, survival bags etc but due to wear and tear these sometimes have to be replaced. Furthermore, money raised will enable students to participate in future Ten Tors events and also Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.
