We will cover around 2,000km over ten days in Thailand, in an effort to raise at least £1,500 for Adventure Ashram, which fights human trafficking and supports grassroots education projects in India.

We have paid all the associated costs and expenses for the November trip, which come in at £5,000 — so every penny you donate goes to the charity.

“I have done a few charity motorcycle rides since in India and the Himalayas, and this is my second one in Thailand.

“It’s also my first with a pillion, as I wanted Tina my partner to experience the great work of the charity and see it first hand.”

We are both driven by the desire to help end human trafficking and the exploitation of its victims.

“We support Adventure Ashram because South Asia, with India at its center, is one of the fastest growing regions for human trafficking in the world.

“Many victims are from poor rural areas and lured by traffickers with promises of good jobs, only to find themselves or their children forced to work in fields or brick kilns, enslaved in homes as domestic workers, or sold to brothels.

“The charity works with their Indian grassroots partner Odanadi Seva Trust to rescue and rehabilitate young survivors of human trafficking, domestic and sexual violence, slavery and child marriage.

“To date, it has helped rescue and rehabilitate 13,086 survivors of human trafficking, sexual exploitation and child marriage, as well as helping hundreds access vocational training opportunities and educating tens of thousands of men, women and children about sexual exploitation.” 450 traffickers have been brought to
