Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. In 2014, our son was diagnosed with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukaemia). After 3 1/2 long years of treatment, he is doing remarkably well and was discharged from the RMCH in 2023.

Each year, a group of us comes together to arrange and participate in a cycle ride from Southport to the Bucks Head in Abram along the Leeds Liverpool Canal, stopping at the many watering holes along the way. This will be our 9th annual cycle ride, and we are determined to make this one the best yet! we have raised £19,561 in total over the last 8 years so we are looking to smash the £20,000 barrier!

We are raising funds for Kidscan, a charity that pioneers childhood cancer treatments. Many of the treatments available today are designed for adult patients, which is why this cause is so important to us. Our son serves as a patient ambassador for Kidscan, making this charity very close to our hearts.

We kindly ask for your support by donating whatever you can—every penny counts! Together, we can make a difference in the lives of children battling cancer. Join us on July 5th, 2025, as we embark on Olly’s Army - Southport to Abram cycling event with a target of £1,000. Your generosity will help pave the way for innovative treatments that these brave children desperately need.
