As many of you will already know in 2016 we lost our dad Mike to cancer. Towards the end he was cared for at The Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract and I cannot begin to explain how wonderful they were to my dad and our whole family. From the nurses going to get ice lollies in the middle of the night because he fancied one, to providing a room for our family where we could stay, shower and eat. The care given by everyone on the team was incredible, treating my dad as you would a member of your own family and for that we will be eternally grateful.

In March myself and a group of friends will be running a half marathon in the hopes of raising some money for this wonderful charity so they can continue to provide this support to other people and families like my own.
