Story
The Tacoma Allenmore Plaza location for Olympic Sports & Spine is excited to partner with Mary Bridge for the third year for Toys for Kids! Our hope is to "adopt" a family or two for this wonderful event started by Dr. Winskill over 30 years ago! With your donations, our goal is to sponsor at least four children in bringing some holiday cheer and gifts! If we exceed our goal, even better!
The story behind Toys for Kids:
Local dentist, John C. Winskill started Toys for Kids in 1990 with the intention of bringing Christmas to families in the community that are dealing with ongoing intensive care at home. Mary Bridge Childrens Hospital works closely with Dr. Winskill and his team in identifying families, gathering gift lists for patients and their siblings, and making their holiday dreams come true. 100% of the money raised goes directly toward buying gifts specifically chosen for the patient and their siblings to bring them a magical Christmas morning!
To this date we have helped 1,734 families with 4,376 children and have raised $594,505. As we approach our 32nd Annual Toys for Kids event we look forward to making this our best year yet and thank you for supporting us in this endeavor.
