Story
World AIDS Day is on 1st December every year. It’s an occasion for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show support for people living with HIV, and remember all those we’ve lost to AIDS-related illnesses.
Whilst it may feel that the battle against HIV has been won, there are still over 105,000 people in the UK living with HIV. Living with HIV can bring with it significant discrimination and stigma. This impacts on poverty, mental health and wellbeing and can lead to people with HIV feeling isolated.
The National AIDS Trust is committed to stopping new cases of HIV in the UK by 2030. But also, to secure the rights of those living with HIV.
So, we hope that this World AIDS Day you will join us in proudly sporting a ribbon to show your support and help end HIV stigma.
