I still vividly remember my dearest loved one while undergoing chemotherapy even if I was very young—I can remember how crazy cold the cold cap was, the nausea, the pain, and the isolation so hard to face session after seaaion counting every time: one done, one less to go. Chemotherapy is incredibly harsh on the body, mind, the patient, and everyone around them—family and friends alike.

While we can't eliminate the side effects and obstacles of this treatment, there is a place in West Middlesex Hospital—the chemo unit—where all the chemotherapy nurses and oncologists work tirelessly to provide outstanding support to every and each cancer patient. Their empathy, smiles, professionalism, and dedication ensure that, week after week, day after day, hour after hour, each patient is so well cared for that they truly feel respected and heard. Every nurses know of course the patients' treatment but here they know their stories, their loved ones, their names, their life's struggles, their hobbies they truly know the patients much more than a "patient" but as "person" and that is why they are so incredible in the never ending personalised support.

I want to support this team even further with this page because, as I help patients in their chemotherapy journey, I see how scared and tearful they are but also the profound effect that this team has on every patient. Patients feel truly cared for by this incredible team of oncologists and chemo nurses.
