365 Miles for Mental Health: In Memory of Ian Revell:
In Memory of Ian
Ian was a man who had great impact on everyone he met. Losing him is a heartbreaking reminder that mental health struggles can affect anyone. This challenge is not only a tribute to him but a call to action for everyone, especially men, to reach out when they are struggling. No one should feel alone or beyond help. Check on you're friends and family, the signs are not always obvious. https://www.wmfs.net/remembrance/ian-revell/

In 2025, I will be running/walking 365 miles – one for every day of the year – to raise awareness and funds for Mind, a leading mental health charity. This challenge is deeply personal, and I am dedicating every step to the memory of Ian Revell, a beloved family member who tragically took his own life.
Why This Challenge Matters?
Mental health affects us all, yet many suffer in silence, particularly men who often feel societal pressure to "stay strong" and avoid seeking help. Ian’s story is a painful reminder of the importance of reaching out and the need for support systems that truly make a difference. Through this challenge, I hope to honour Ian's memory and shine a light on the vital work that Mind does for individuals and families facing similar struggles.
What Mind Does?
Mind provides life-changing support for anyone experiencing mental health challenges. They offer:
•Confidential helplines to provide immediate support and guidance.
•Local community programs that connect people to resources and support networks.
•Educational campaigns to reduce stigma and foster understanding around mental health.
•Advocacy to ensure mental health is a priority in workplaces, schools, and government policies.
Your donation will help Mind continue this incredible work, ensuring no one has to face their mental health challenges alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please remember you are not alone. You can reach out to the Samaritans on 116 123—help is always available.
The Power of Movement and Nature:
Walking, running, and being outdoors are proven to have significant mental health benefits. Physical activity releases endorphins that boost mood, reduces stress levels, and promotes better sleep. Spending time in nature can also foster mindfulness and a sense of calm. This challenge isn’t just about fundraising—it’s about reminding everyone of the small, positive steps we can take to nurture our mental health. I hope you encourage even one person to get moving.
How You Can Help?
Every pound donated will go directly toward supporting Mind’s essential services. Whether it’s funding a single phone call that saves a life, creating safe spaces for those in crisis, or empowering people to share their stories, your support can make a tangible difference.
Join Me on This Journey
Your encouragement, support, and donations mean the world to me. Together, we can honour Ian’s memory, raise awareness about mental health, and contribute to Mind’s incredible mission.
Let’s walk, run, and fight for a future where reaching out for help is seen as a sign of strength.
Thank you for being part of this journey!
