Support JCDecaux UK’s Brecon Beacons Challenge for Missing People

One Team JCDecaux UK is raising money for Missing People

Brecon Beacons Hike · 18 September 2025

Someone is reported missing every 90 seconds in the UK. Missing People offers a lifeline to the 170,000 people who go missing every year. We are there for those left behind, we provide specialised support to ease the heartache and confusion, and search for their missing loved ones.

Story

On Thursday, 18 September, a group of JCDecaux UK colleagues will come together as One Team to tackle the Brecon Beacons in support of Missing People.

As the UK’s only charity dedicated to finding missing individuals and reconnecting them to their loved ones, Missing People offers a vital lifeline when it’s needed most. We’re proud to support their mission, not just through our JCDecaux Community Channel, but also by stepping out from behind the screens and pushing ourselves for the cause.

We’ll be tested both physically and mentally as we take one of two challenging routes:

• The Classic Pen y Fan Horseshoe route – a 14km hike with an elevation gain of 2,200ft, expected to take around 6 hours!

• The Long Course – a 27.5km hike with an elevation gain of 5,000ft, expected to take over 11 hours!

Both routes will summit Cribyn, Corn Du, and the iconic Pen y Fan – the highest peak in South Wales at 2,907ft, known for its breathtaking views and sweeping ridgelines. Those tackling The Long Course will summit Pen y Fan twice, adding an extra challenge to the day.

Every day, someone goes missing. With your help, Missing People can continue to bring hope, connection, and support to those facing unimaginable uncertainty. Your donation, no matter how big or small, truly makes a difference and it will help us every step of the way on our Brecon Beacons Challenge!

Thank you for your support.
