RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

This just giving page is for anyone who knew Alan Heaton and would like to help raise the coffers of the “last run out for Alan” on the weekend of 13/14/15th June 2025.

Alan was the Triumph Sports Six Club, West Yorkshire Area Organiser; and for many years we ran the Yorkshire Dalesrun to raise monies for various charities. Alans favourite charity was always the RNLI.

I would like this run to be a chance for everyone who knew Alan over the years to come along and have some fun and remember the good times. Along with raising some money for a deserving charity.

The run will start and end at High Laning Campsite in Dent, where those that wish to can camp in our event area (please book with the site directly and mention Triumph Car rally).

Theres no need to come in a classic car and the route will be published so people can join in at stages.

Full details will be available on the TSSC Yorkshire Dalesrun Facebook page as things get confirmed. Or drop me a message from here.

Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal, Rich

Heres a note form the RNLI..

Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe.

RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.

Thank you.
