Story
The ONs present FRASER LOWRIE + BELE + CHRISTINA SIMPSON + MARGO PELTO live at Buonissima on Saturday 10th January.
Food will be on sale from 5.30pm to 9.00pm, music in your ears from 7.30pm to about 10.15pm, and the bar open to 11.00pm.
We are raising money for TREETOPS HOSPICE, which supports people with illnesses such as cancer, dementia, motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis, as well as their carers and families.
FRASER LOWRIE puts a fresh spin on modern and classic singalong hits. He seamlessly builds songs from scratch, recording beats, bass and guitar with a loop station, layering powerful vocals on top, to create an electrifying one-man show.
BELE is a singer, actor and dancer familiar from musical theatre stages in Nottingham, appearing most recently in 9 to 5 at the Duchess Theatre. Born in Brazil, raised in America, Bele possesses a pure English folk voice. This will be her fourth ONs’ Gig.
CHRISTINA SIMPSON delivers heartfelt storytelling with shimmering synths and danceable beats. Trained in piano from an early age, Christina channels her classical roots into original songs that fuse emotion, rhythm and electronic textures.
MARGO PELTO is a singer-songwriter from Notts who has previously played the Hockley Hustle, Beat the Streets and Dot to Dot. After going away to uni this will be her first performance back home since graduating. She's really looking forward to sharing her songs again.
BUONISSIMA is a vibrant Italian Aperitivo Bar at 14 Station Road NG10 5BG. Booking is ESSENTIAL. Phoning is best on 0115 939 3256 or email theteam@buonissimabar.com.
Treetops Hospice writes:
"We are the leading end of life care charity for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We provide nursing care and emotional support for adults with life-limiting conditions, those who have been bereaved, and their families. Our services are available free of charge, from diagnosis onwards.
"We offer nursing in patients’ own homes, counselling for grieving children and adults, personalised wellbeing support and confidential advice. It costs £5.3 million a year to keep Treetops going and we need to raise over 80% of this cost.
“Treetops Hospice is not responsible for this activity, so we would like to thank the ONs for their hard work in fundraising for us. We wish them every success and hope you will support them. Treetops Hospice, Derby Road, Risley, DE72 3SS. Registered Charity No: 519540.”
