Former Liverpool, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers footballer Stephen Darby and close friend and British Forces Veteran Chris Rimmer have partnered together to launch the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. Stephen and Chris both have Motor Neurone Disease and have created a Foundation to create awareness of MND, to fund and assist research into the illness with the quest of finding a cure for the illness, to raise funds and offer grants to those with MND, as well as creating a network to help provide information and emotional support network for those diagnosed with the disease.

Story

Will have the absolute honour and privilege to join Ipswich Town legend Marcus Stewart and ex-Liverpool and Bradford City full-back Stephen Darby for “March of the Day 2” between Wembley Stadium and Portman Road in March 2025 to raise money for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation.

The incredible Darby Rimmer MND Foundation team raised over £200,000 walking from Bradford to Liverpool’s famous Anfield Stadium in March of this year, and next year it’s back, and on more familiar territory for myself.

Joining the incredible and noble team for Day 3 of their walk, which will take in 177 miles between the home of football and Wembley stadium, together we are hoping to raise more than £250,000 for the fight against Motor Neurone Disease (MND)

Joining the team, myself, the forever handsome Olly Farthing, Paul Billmen and Will Farthing (the better one) and many others will attempt to fuel the team with high spirits, energy and smiles for the home stretch.

If you’d like to join us, sponsor us and the rest of the incredible team or want to know more, please let us know.

Plenty more details to follow, so stay tuned!
