Operation Reach is a charity dedicated to providing a unique learning experience for young people, helping them to develop life-altering skills such as interdependence, resilience and self-confidence. Operation Reach is a relatively new charity that aims to help young people of a lower socio-economic background to flourish outside of a school environment as they believe this is vital for allowing them to develop and achieve their goals, especially in an environment in which they are still consistently under-represented.

This year (2023), the charity aims to do so through both: a mentoring programme, in which students will be paired in an 18-month plan that can provide information and help with universities and work-experience, as well as an expedition to India in late July. The expedition, which will be a first for many students on the trip, not only focuses on exposing students to different cultures and building their sense of determination, but also acts as work experience in volunteering for an educational NGO that focuses on the care and protection of the endangered snow leopard alongside volunteering in a local school in Leh, India to provide the young people with more access to opportunities through our own education system.
