Story
I’ll be walking approximately 100 kilometres, with additional challenges, through the Scottish Highlands over 5 days, finishing at the Commando Memorial. Each day is dedicated to the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, and the families and veterans who carry the impact of service long after the uniform is taken off.
I’m raising money for Heads Up because behind every medal, deployment, and act of service, there is a human being. There are pressures that aren’t always visible. There are sacrifices that extend beyond the battlefield. And there are families who carry those sacrifices too.
Mental health support within the Armed Forces community matters. It saves lives. It strengthens families. It ensures that asking for help is seen as strength, not weakness.
The Highlands will test me physically and mentally — long miles, changing weather, remote terrain. But that challenge is intentional. It’s my way of stepping slightly outside my comfort zone in recognition of those who live far beyond theirs in service to others.
