Story

Dear supporters – friends, family, and colleagues,

I'm thrilled to share that I’ve been selected as one of 40 GSK and ViiV employees worldwide to participate in the "Trek for Health 2025."

Who is GSK & ViiV?

GSK is a global healthcare leader focused on developing vaccines, medicines, and innovative therapies. ViiV Healthcare, a GSK subsidiary, is dedicated to fighting HIV and ensuring access to the best treatments globally.

What is Trek for Health 2025?

In February 2025, I will take on a 7-day challenge to the summit of Mount Kenya with 40 colleagues from 23 countries, followed by visits to significant humanitarian projects by AMREF Health Africa & Save the Children. This trip is both a charitable mission and a personal challenge, as Mount Kenya’s 5,200 meters will push me beyond my comfort zone. But as Henry Ford once said, “If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” So, I’m ready to take on this challenge!

Through my participation in "Trek for Health," I aim to send a powerful message for women, showing that through courage and unity, we can be active agents of change and progress. I hope my commitment inspires others to make bold decisions too.

Who is Amref Health Africa and Save the Children?

We will visit an Amref Health Africa project in Kenya, which focuses on improving healthcare in remote and underserved areas. By building health infrastructures and training medical personnel, they ensure sustainable healthcare even in the most isolated regions. Additionally, I support Save the Children, an organization fighting for children's rights worldwide. In Kenya, they provide education, food, and healthcare to children in need, giving them a chance for a better future.

Why do I need YOUR support?

We need your help to support these projects sustainably. Our goal is to raise over £160,000, with each person aiming to collect £4,000, which GSK will match. This means your donation will have double the impact, helping to improve the lives of many in Kenya.

Every cent counts, and it would mean the world to me if you could support my mission.

Thank you for your support!

Jenny
