Story
In less than two months time, I will be running the Manchester Marathon - my first marathon and a whole 26.2 miles!
While being slightly daunted by the challenge, it will be for a very worthy cause, as I will be running in memory of my beautiful nephew, Baby Beans, to raise funds for the charity Aching Arms.
In March 2023, my brother Niall, and sister-in-law Maeve, received the devastating news that their beautiful first baby, a baby boy affectionately called ‘Baby Beans’, was not compatible with life and the pregnancy had to be ended.
My nephew, Baby Beans, was born sleeping on the 26th March 2023. He was tiny and perfect and I think about him every day.
Aching Arms brought Maeve and Niall comfort at a time when they were most in need, and I would love to raise funds for a charity that supported them during the hardest time of their lives.
That’s why I am running the Manchester Marathon in memory of Baby Beans. With the funds raised, Aching Arms can continue to support other parents through their loss, by providing comfort bears to bereaved parents and offering a support service to parents after their loss.
All donations are gratefully received and will have a big impact in offering comfort and support to bereaved families.
If you are a UK tax payer, please remember to Gift Aid your donation, which boosts it by 25% at no extra cost to you, and makes a big difference to the charity.
Thank you so much for your donation and please keep everything crossed for me to cross that finish line!
