Story
On October 11th I will be running Chester Marathon in aid of north west air ambulance.
Their work is especially important in the rural communities that make up so much of the North West, where access to specialist emergency care can take longer and every minute matters. Whether it’s a riding accident, a road traffic collision, a sporting injury, or a sudden medical emergency, North West Air Ambulance brings hospital-level care directly to patients when they need it most.
The reality is that none of us know when we, our friends, or our families might need their help. They receive no government funding for their day-to-day operations and rely entirely on charitable donations to keep flying. Every donation, no matter the size, helps ensure this incredible service is there for anyone who needs it, wherever and whenever an emergency happens.
