Story
basis.point is a charity of the Irish funds industry that aims to support educational programmes that are set up to enhance the lives and opportunities for disadvantaged children throughout Ireland.
Waystone is a proud supporter of basis.point and the Irish and global funds industry. Our Ireland business is taking inspiration from 2024 being an Olympic year to hold a series of sporting related fundraising events to raise funds for basis.point.
1. The first of these events was a 70km cycle around North Dublin being undertaken by a group of approximately 25 Waystone employees on 5 July 2024.
2. The second event is a the community 5km park run in both Dublin and Tipperary to be held on 7 September 2024.
3. The third and main event itself will take place on 13 October 2024 when Waystone’s Global Head of Relationship Management, Conor MacGuinness, to run the Chicago Marathon.
All funds raised from the three events will flow directly to basis.point in order to help them and their charity partners work towards their vision of an Ireland where children have the opportunity to reach their potential through education. Waystone is proud to have an opportunity to play a part is contributing to this vision.
