We know that the impact of cancer on young lives is more than medical. And that impact can be felt by the entire family. That’s why we exist.

Young Lives vs Cancer is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers who provide tailored support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.

We know everyone's different, so we work hard to provide support that’s easy to access and meets individual needs, from helping families navigate the emotional and practical impact of cancer to removing barriers and solving problems that come with a diagnosis. We are there to prioritise wellbeing and take care of the non-medical. And we stop at nothing to make sure the voices of children, young people and families are heard and their unique needs understood, so they can get the right care and support at the right time.

Here are Ormeau Labs, a centre and key innovation hub in Belfast we are encouraging our members to get involved in our Move - A - Thon. The average distance a young person and their families will do to access treatment in a month is 350 Miles. Can Ormeau Labs members travel the distance a family affected by cancer travels in one month - in just one day? Our members are taking slots to travel on exercise bikes and row machines from 9am to 5pm to raise as much money and get the miles in to meet both targets!
