This June, I'll be heading to Kenya for two weeks to volunteer with the incredible charity Play Action International! Alongside other volunteers, I’ll be turning an empty field at a local school into a vibrant, exciting playground, creating a space where kids can learn, grow, and just be kids. I'll also be running creative play sessions, helping children develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and confidence through play.

Why does this matter?

Play isn’t just fun, it’s life-changing. Play Action International’s work has some incredible results:

- 98% of schools report improved attendance.

- 74% of kids say ‘the playground’ is why they love school.

- 83% of teachers see better focus and behaviour in class.

Your support will help create lasting changes by funding these playgrounds and play programs for children who need them most. It also helps support local job opportunities, making sure the impact lasts long after we leave.

All donations will help fund the building materials of the playgrounds as well as support Play Action's other amazing projects, like helping children in refugee settlements and hospitals have access to play across East Africa.

To raise money, I will be taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge in Wales, during which I will climb Pen y Fan, Cadair Idris, and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). This is a challenge me and 3 other volunteers will be pushing ourselves to complete on the 3rd April ! ⛰️
