‘They’ve lost everything’

At least 17,000 children, or one per cent of Gaza’s overall displaced population of 1.7 million, are thought to be orphaned in the Gaza Strip, according to an estimate from Unicef.

Every day, 5,700 more children are orphaned. In a moment, the security of a loving parent, safe home, food to eat is all gone. Forced to grow up too soon, and even to work to survive, orphans need the support of the ummah. No child should be left alone to fend for themselves.

My goal is to raise £420 which will support 1 orphan, with food, clothing, healthcare, housing, and school supplies.

Shattered dreams

There are between 143 to 210 million children who are orphaned across the world. A child, once cared for by loving parents, is now at urgent risk of malnutrition, abuse, and exploitation..
