Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Oscar Ali and I am 11 years old. At birth I was diagnosed with a heart murmur which by itself is very common. I had three problems with my heart one of which fixed itself at a young age. I had key hole surgery when I was 18 months old to fix the second problem. The third issue was a a hole between the two chambers of my heart. That in itself was not a big problem but as it tried to correct itself it began pulling on my Aortic valve causing a leak. My cardiologist decided that this needed intervention, if it was left untreated I would have needed a whole new valve.
On the 11th May 2023 I underwent open heart surgery to repair the hole in my heart. A year later I am playing football, competing in Jiu Jitsu competitions and running at least twice a week. The operation was a huge success and I would love to give something back to the organisation that has helped me and my family so much.
On the 29th of June my Dad and I shall drive up to Ben Nevis and walk up and down, drive straight to Scarfell Pike walk up and down and then drive to Snowden to walk up and down completing the national three peaks challenge. Don't worry my Dad will not be driving, we shall be driven by my Uncle.
