Story
On 31st July, I’ll disembark a ferry ⛴️ on France’s North Coast, and attempt to cycle 🚲 the length of the country 🇫🇷, before being reunited with my family 🧑🧑🧒🧒 in Bordeaux.

The packing list is light, comprising of a bike 🚲 , a few clothes👕, and a toothbrush 🪥 (hence the name 😄). I’ll also bring Dad along, so I’m kept safe.

It sounds like an adventure - and it is - but behind all of this, there’s a bigger reason ❤️🩹.
I’m doing this in memory of Frank, my grandmother’s partner, who passed away last month after a long and brave battle with cancer. He went through so much, but never stopped being kind, positive, and strong.

Like many others, his spirit and determination live on. I want to do my best and reglect that on 31 July, while hopefully inspiring some people to donate to a cause that touches us all.

Along the way we will:
🚴♂️ Turn the pedals over one million times
📏 Ride over 700km (before detours and getting lost)
⛰️ Climb up more metres than days I’ve been alive (equivalent to the highest peak in the Alps)
🔋Generate enough power to charge a Tesla car to 30%
I know there will be moments where it feels hard. The distance combined with the hills (and having to look at my Dad wearing his Lycra) will require me to dig very deep.
If you are able, I’d be incredibly grateful and proud if you would consider donating to support Cancer Research. Every contribution, no matter the size, is motivating to me and makes a difference. If you’re not able to donate, sharing this would mean a lot too.

Thank you 🙏 so much for your support, and I look forward to sharing some highs and lows of the Toothbrush TdF.
Salut,
Le Oscar 🇫🇷 x
