Running for Hannah - Supporting Thames Hospice
Two years ago, our daughter, Hannah, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM4) -an aggressive and terminal form of brain cancer. She was given 12-18 months to live if gruelling treatments, including brain surgery, radiotherapy, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy, were successful.
A year ago, after enduring every available treatment, Hannah was told that her tumour was still growing, and her prognosis was revised to just two months. Yet, here we are today-Hannah continues to fight, and we continue to cherish every moment we have together.
Throughout this journey, Thames Hospice has been an unwavering source of comfort and support for Hannah, her 11-year-old son, and our entire family. They have provided personal care, home visits, physiotherapy, guidance, group sessions, and-perhaps most importantly-a compassionate ear when we needed it most. They have helped Hannah live with dignity, ensuring she can make the most of the time she has.
Now, we want to give back.
As a team of five-Hannah's brother, Oscar, two of her closest friends, a family friend and myself-we are taking on the Tough Mudder 10-mile challenge to raise £1,000 for Thames Hospice. This is our way of showing gratitude and ensuring that other families facing similar heartbreak receive the same incredible support.
Life changes in a heartbeat.
Please help us make a difference. Any donation, big or small, will go directly towards helping families like ours receive the care and kindness they so desperately need.
Thank you for your support.
