Story
Time to Push Myself, with a little help from my friends...
In Memory of Someone Who Inspires Me Every Day
Every year I try to do something to support good causes… but it’s been a while since I took on a real challenge for a cause incredibly close to our hearts.
As many of you know, Charlotte and I lost our baby boy, Oscar, in July 2010.
Born at just 25 weeks, weighing 1lb 14oz, Oscar fought hard for 30 days before he was taken from us.
He may not be here in person, but his memory lives on, in us, in those who’ve supported us, and in the incredible impact made in his name. Over the years, we’ve raised around £100,000 for various causes:
➡️ Desks for a school in Africa.
➡️ A classroom built in Nepal after the earthquake.
➡️ Refurbishment of the Ronald McDonald House in Bristol.
➡️ An incubator for St Michael’s Hospital’s Special Care Baby Unit.
And many more!
Now, it’s time to do more.
On 21st June, I’ll take on the National Three Peaks Challenge with three friends, climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours (yes, including travel time 😬).
Then in July, we’re bringing back the brutal-but-brilliant 1km-a-day incremental challenge (shoutout to Andy Rohrer for the original madness…!).
That’s 1km on Day 1, 2km on Day 2… all the way to 31km on Day 31.
A total of 496km in a single month.
You can walk, jog, or run it, at your leisure (or pain) and you’re welcome to join in!
Then in September, alongside a couple of friends, I’ll be taking on the mighty (and incredibly hilly) The Lap Challenge, a 47 mile ultra-marathon up and down the hills around Lake Windermere.

Every single £1 makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, a like, share, or message of support is just as valuable.
Oscar’s legacy continues, and we’d love you to be part of it. 💙
