Story
It's time to get our sweat on for Our Second Home!
We are running the 5k race for a cause close to our hearts, Our Second Home: the UK’s youth movement building the skills and confidence of refugees and asylum seekers to flourish into adulthood.
Why? Because it is the catalyst that changes lives.
“OSH gave me a voice that helped me to use it to share my feelings, to help each other and to help others to their own feelings. It was really important for my confidence.
“I never forget it. Ever. It’s like a heaven. Trust me. Cause for a long time I didn’t do anything nice, just staying in my room on a computer, I didn’t enjoy anything for like 3 months. This was very nice.”
Even a small gift will go a long way, for example:
£10 gives a displaced young person the kit to participate in an OSH residential
£20 means a displaced young person can come on one of our trips
£50 gives a life changing workshop for 50 displaced young people on an OSH residential
£100 means that a group of 50 displaced young people will go on a weekend away with OSH
...and every penny will push us to the finish line!
