Story
Hi!
My name is Harlowe, I'm 9 years old and fundraising for a charity that means a lot to my family.

We went on holiday to Sal, Cape Verde at Christmas time, 2024. We met a puppy while out there at OSPA, which is a sanctuary for dogs (and cats). They care for lots of strays and poorly dogs and cats on the island and run an adoption programme.

We visited on Boxing Day to walk one of the dogs and smuggle them some meat and cheese from the hotel buffet... but we unexpectedly fell in love with one of the dogs and when we got home, my parents looked to adopt and bring him back to the UK!

6 months later, our dog, Kovu, came to the UK to live with his forever family. We love him so much and are so thankful to OSPA for allowing us the opportunity to have such a gentle family dog.

They're a brilliant charity of hard working and passionate volunteers, who rely on the goodwill of others to continue their fantastic care and love for dogs of all ages (Kovu was a brand new puppy with his siblings and mum when they were brought in!)

So, I'm going to go on a sponsored walk (with Kovu of course) to raise some well deserved donations for OSPA to help towards food, medicines and general pet supplies. We aim to walk a trail of 7 miles.

Thanks for reading and please donate what you can, big or small! 🧡
