Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Friday and Saturday 18th-19th October 2024 at the age of 70. I will be getting on my bike to take positive action to raise funds for a wonderful Merseyside Charity run by a good friend of mine Robin Baynes MBE called Liverpool Heartbeat. Please visit their website to see the wonderful work that they do at www.liverpoolheartbeat.com

Taking part will me Ossie Omar, Garth Dallas and two novice riders Matthew Abbott and Phil Davies. The distance on the Liverpool to Leeds Canal is 127.5 miles Minimum Elevation: 44 feet Maximum Elevation: 552 feet Total climb: 1214 feet Total descent: 1159 feet a mix of Hard Towpaths, Gravel and Rough Grass. We will be aiming to cycle 10 miles per hour and cycle 50 -60 miles on the first day. We are cycling over two days with a stop around Burnley or Accrington

I would like to raise a minimum of £1000 for my nominated charity and I am asking family, friends and my social media friends to help me reach my target.

I will be setting up a Facebook page and I will post photographs of my training and the adventure as it unfolds.
