Sunflowers provides a unique support service to individuals and families affected by a cancer diagnosis in the Merseyside region.

Story

Our Ben was far more than just my cousin, he was my younger brother whose life was cut short last year after brain cancer cruelly took him. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met and even when he was going through the treatments to help fight against the cancer he did it with a smile on his face (as can be seen in the photo) and a stoic determination that made you so incredibly proud of him. Ben's only ever downside being his love of AC/DC ⚡

Sunflowers played a big part in helping Ben come to terms with everything before him and the support they gave allowed him to deal with something that nobody should have to deal with in the most incredible way.

Sunflowers recently lost their familiar fundraising place at John Lennon Airport (you'll have walked past it on the way to security every time you flew from there) where they were able to raise thousands of pounds every year. So, it would be great if we could help them fill the gap and enable them to continue the incredible work that the team there do to help those suffering with cancer. Every penny counts so please dig deep and contribute as much as you can afford. I'll then somehow drag myself 127 miles on a bike (not an electric one) with two of my best mates (Mike Reilly and Nick Helliwell) along the Liverpool-Leeds canal across the weekend of 11th and 12th May in Our Ben's memory.
