Each year one in 5000 children worldwide are affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Two families learn each week their child has DMD, and this year we unexpectedly found ourselves to be one of them, and our lives have been forever changed.

I am walking for my boy, Artie, who will one day - in the not distant enough future - begin to lose the use of his muscles. My special boy, who never fails to make me smile, and is my constant source of strength. Our little hero.
