Overseas Fellowship of Nigerian Christians is supporting Sickle Cell Disease treatment and the persecuted churches.
Black British Africans, in particular those of Nigerian origin, suffer from Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Some interventions have proven beneficial towards improving outcomes, especially in Nigeria and that includes treatment with a drug called Hydroxycarbamide.
The OFNC has been very generous in supporting the improvement of outcomes of those living with Sickle Cell Disease in keeping with its mission to provide relief of persons in conditions of need, hardship, or distress.
Historically, branch fundraising and proceeds from the conference charity dinner have supported those affected, including a large donation to the UK Sickle Cell Society.
