Next year will mark the 10 year anniversary of my grandads death, therefore in memory of him, me and a few of my family members will be embracing the challenge of the Great North Run on September 7th 2025.

When I was 11/12 years old I was told that my grandad had lost his battle with motor neurone disease. This is a day that I will never forget, this ruthless disease affected my life, my family and many other individuals and families around the world who have lost someone there cared about to this horrible illness.

Although there is no cure for this illness, by raising money we can help doctors to further research this illness and give other people a chance to live longer as well as funding money to try and aid researchers in their pursuit to find a cure.

Any donations would be kindly appreciated it doesn’t matter how big or small, every penny matters.

I can’t wait to take on this run! I hope to do my grandad proud and fingers crossed I get to see as many familiar faces when we cross the finishing line next September.
