Owen's fundraiser for The Brain Tumour Charity

Hi all,
Since my last fundraising event, my journey has been anything but easy. I’ve completed proton beam therapy, endured seven seizures, and faced three more brain surgeries. Now, I'm on a clinical trial in London, holding on to hope with everything I have that this might be the treatment that will get rid of this thing for good. But through all of this, I’ve carried with me the incredible strength you gave me.
Although I may appear fine to most of you, the reality is far different. Every day is a battle, living with the constant fear that I could be rushed back to the hospital at any moment, wearing a mask to hide these struggles. The endless visits to the hospital and clinic make me question how my life ended up like this. But in the midst of this overwhelming challenge, I found a lifeline. I reached out to The Brain Tumour Charity, and they embraced me with open arms.
Recently, I had the profound honor of becoming one of 20 young ambassadors for the charity. When we met in April, it was as if I had found a new family. We instantly connected, understanding each other’s pain and daily challenges without a word needing to be spoken. It felt like coming home to people who truly get it and for the first time, I felt like I wasn't carrying this burden alone. I had finally found a place where my pain, my fears, my struggles were not only seen but deeply understood.
This deep bond is one of the many reasons I am so passionate about raising awareness and funds for this incredible charity. It’s not just a charity, it’s a lifeline, a place where we all find hope together.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. I'm proud to be part of an organisation so committed to saving and improving lives. They’re not just talking about making a difference—they’re doing it every day, moving further and faster to reach every single person affected by a brain tumour.
Your support isn't just numbers—it's real, tangible help that changes lives. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
