2 Half Marathons, 2 Hyrox Events and Summit Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

“Love remembers, even when memories fade.”

I’m raising money for The Alzheimer’s Society in honor of my beloved grandmothers, Gwyneth and Joyce, who both faced the devastating challenges of Alzheimer’s and dementia. My grandmother Gwyneth was diagnosed at just 55 and tragically passed away at 62, leaving us far too soon. Watching her and Joyce navigate this cruel illnesses was heartbreaking, and I’m determined to do something meaningful in their memory. That’s why I’ve committed to pushing myself through two half marathons, two Hyrox events, and a summit of Snowdon. These challenges will symbolise the strength and endurance my grandmothers showed throughout their battles. I’ve chosen The Alzheimer’s Society because they work tirelessly to provide support for families like mine and fund vital research to find a cure. Every step I take is for them—and for a future without Alzheimer’s.
