Oxford Half 2025

is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

Oxford Half Marathon 2025 · 12 October 2025 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

It has been a 7 years since I ran the Hackney Half Marathon, and since then I haven't put on a pair of running shoes.

Now I'm officially a boomer (30 years old!!!), I am contemplating starting my midlife crisis early - so want to give it another go, and if I am going to do it then why not do it for charity.

Dementia is one of the biggest health and social challenge of our time. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia.

The Alzheimer’s Society are working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They provide support services, fund research and campaign.
