I will be trekking in East Africa to raise money to buy HOPE Boxes for women accessing maternity services at the RUH that are separated form their babies through the Family Court process. The HOPE Boxes are designed to help mothers capture important memories prior to separation and importantly to promote the ongoing connection between them and their baby post separation whilst court proceedings are considering the longer-term plans for the child.

We will explore three Kenyan National Parks

Summit an extinct volcano

Visit an elephant orphanage and a giraffe park

Our Kenya Trek will take us on an adventure through the Great Rift Valley. We will explore Hell’s Gate National Park (named for the gorge that runs through its centre), summit Mount Longonot, and spot spectacular wildlife along the way.

The trek is graded as challenging, covering approximately 90km in total over five days.

On finishing, we celebrate with a game drive into Nairobi National Park, visiting an elephant orphanage and a giraffe park._
