Meet Abigail – Our Little Light

We’d love for you to meet our incredible niece, Abigail.

Abby has yet to walk or talk, and she is the only child in the world on record with her unique combination of deletion and duplication genes. But despite the challenges she faces, she radiates joy that brightens even the darkest corners of any room. Her heart, her smile, and her spirit have already touched so many, making each of us better just by knowing her.

Her older sister, Maya, has always had a remarkable way of seeing the world. When Abby’s diagnosis was confirmed nearly six years ago, Maya—just five years old at the time—asked a few thoughtful questions, sat in quiet reflection, and then simply said:

“Wow. How lucky are we that out of all the people in the whole world… we got Abigail?”

That moment of pure love and wisdom still brings tears to our eyes. It wasn’t just a passing thought—it became a guiding truth that Maya continues to live by every single day. We are endlessly proud of both girls. Their parents, Anna and Ryan, pour their hearts into raising them with a kind of love that’s as fierce as it is tender—a love so deep and unwavering, it’s truly something rare and beautiful in this world.

On Saturday, May 17th, we’re hiking Scafell Pike alongside the amazing teams from Ayotte Recruitment & Training Academy, LRM Security, ProFM Group, and Poseidon Security Special Services Ltd. to raise money for a fantastic organization that supports families just like ours. We are meeting at 9 am at the car park up the route from Wasdale (coin only). We welcome anyone who'd like to join us!
