Our son, Levi, was born with a complex heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Since birth, he has undergone multiple major operations and countless procedures. As part of his ongoing care, he needs regular blood tests to monitor his condition.

Unfortunately, finding a vein is often extremely difficult. This can mean several attempts before blood can be taken, leaving Levi distressed and exhausted. Sadly, this isn’t something only Levi experiences—many children across Pembrokeshire face the same challenge.

Some hospitals use a vein finder, a device that helps healthcare professionals locate veins more easily. This can reduce the number of failed attempts, making blood tests quicker, less painful, and far less stressful for children and their families.

We want to raise enough money to buy a vein finder for the Children’s Health Department at Withybush Hospital, so that children across Pembrokeshire can benefit from this equipment and have a better experience when they need blood tests.
