P4P One Last Time - Team Tea's fundraising for The Darby Rimmer MND Foundation

Former Liverpool, Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers footballer Stephen Darby and close friend and British Forces Veteran Chris Rimmer have partnered together to launch the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation. Stephen and Chris both have Motor Neurone Disease and have created a Foundation to create awareness of MND, to fund and assist research into the illness with the quest of finding a cure for the illness, to raise funds and offer grants to those with MND, as well as creating a network to help provide information and emotional support network for those diagnosed with the disease.

Story

Town to Town : Ipswich to Huddersfield for the Darby Rimmer MND Foundation

From the 18th to 21st of June, we will be supporting valiant cyclists and runners from Ipswich to Huddersfield, finishing on World MND Day.

The event honours Marcus Stewart, a Huddersfield Town legend and former player who is battling MND. This is our way of giving back and showing support.

Funds raised will go to The Darby Rimmer Foundation to help create awareness of the awful disease, to assist with fundraising vital research to find a cure, and to contribute towards grants and the provision of information to support those diagnosed with the disease.

Team Tea will be supporting the cyclists and runners along the way and many of us have also taken part in endurance cycling in the past and have family members taking part, and/or have seen loved ones affected by the disease, so we all appreciate the challenge the participants are taking on and the support provided.
