P600s Challenge
On Friday 25th April, I embark on my P600s Challenge, which will see me set a new “fastest known time” for the ascent of the P600 mountain peaks within 121 days by Saturday 23rd August.
The P600s are the 121 mountain peaks across the British Isles with a minimum prominence of 600m (1,968.5ft).
Only 7 people are known to have ever ascended the P600s in any space of time and the most recent, Liam Chase, was the first to do so in a calendar year by setting the current “fastest known time” of 313 days (10 months and 9 days).
During the course of my P600s Challenge, I will:
• Walk at least 866.5 miles, the equivalent of 33.1 marathons
• Ascend at least 349,839 foot, the equivalent of 12.1 Mount Everests
Thank you for reading,
Simon

Every Life Matters
On average more than one person a week dies by suicide in Cumbria, more than double the amount that die on our County's roads. Every death by suicide is an avoidable tragedy.
Suicides are preventable. We need a society where people feel able to reach out for help. Where members our communities have the knowledge and skills to recognise when someone is at risk and to know how to offer support. And services that are accessible and effective.
Suicide is everyone's business. Visit our website today and learn what part you can play.
