BOGS fundraiser for The Pachamama Project

BOGS Committee is raising money for The Pachamama Project
The Pachamama Project exists to eradicate period poverty, to support girls' education and to promote dignity for asylum seekers. We are growing a global network of volunteers to make reusable period pads for refugees and vulnerable people - for a world where no one is held back by their period.

Story

Please support BOGS in raising money for the Pachamama Project.

The Pachamama Project is a UK charity making reusable period pads for refugees and vulnerable people, working to keep girls in education and women in work.

The Pachamama Project was set up by ex-Bristol medical student - Ella Lambert who, having suffered from debilitating period pain growing up, knew what it was like to miss out on days of education and important events because of her period.

Period poverty affects 500 million women, girls and people who menstruate worldwide.

"Since launching in 2020 we have grown a network of over 2,500 incredible volunteers who have collectively made 160,000 reusable pads supporting 20,000 people out of period poverty in 11 countries.

We work with community-led organisations who understand the needs of the population to deliver our pads with culturally-sensitive menstrual health education.

Our pads are keeping girls in education, women in work and restoring dignity."

Pachamama is founded on the principle that no girl should miss out on the same opportunities as her brothers simply because she has a period.
