Story
The William Templeton Foundation for Young People’s Mental Health (YPMH) is a charitable foundation working to improve the lives of young people by facilitating innovative approaches to resolve mental health conditions. It has been set up in memory of Will Templeton, by his parents, Anne and Peter, and his brother John, one of our Pacific International colleagues.
YPMH focuses on accelerating the translation of high-quality research into practical, scalable solutions that help prevent mental ill health, reduce the severity of mental ill health for those who experience it, and improve outcomes for young people. Its work brings together researchers, innovators, practitioners, schools, community organisations, and young people themselves to help ensure that research leads to real-world impact.
This year, in addition to our annual donation to the YPMH, we are taking this support even further: Six Pacificans will run the Cambridge Half-Marathon on March 8.
Three participants have already completed a marathon and will be training hard to beat their personal bests, while the others will be focused on reaching the finish line. Meanwhile, Pacificans around the world will be raising funds to support their efforts and the vital work of our chosen charity.
