The 2026 Paddle For Resilience

Wounded Warriors Canada is a national mental health service provider specializing in culturally informed services that utilize a combination of education, counselling and training approaches to support resiliency and recovery from post-trauma injuries.

Story

The Gasparotto Group, a veteran-owned leadership development firm founded by retired military officer Mark Gasparotto, is leading the 2026 Paddle For Resilience to benefit Wounded Warriors Canada.

Last year, a core group from the Gasparotto Group paddled 1,000 kilometres down the historic Ottawa River from Lac des Outaouais to Westboro Beach, Ottawa. Their inaugural expedition took five weeks, between August 18th and September 20th, 2025 and received national coverage on CBC News.

The 2026 Paddle For Resilience is a “do it yourself” or “DIY” fundraising campaign taking place between June 27th and September 7th. The Gasparotto Group invites Canadians from coast-to-coast to paddle wherever, whenever, however they want to raise money for Wounded Warriors Canada to benefit veterans and trauma-exposed professionals.
