I'm taking on this challenge with David "Coco" Barker to jointly help raise money for Alzheimer’s Society, who do such good work for people suffering from dementia, not just directly but also in their campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding ground-breaking research.

This devastating condition really does impact the lives of so many, not just for the sufferer but also for their family and friends. I am seeing the effects that dementia has on my father and how he sometimes struggles to get the right words to come out. He knows what he wants to say but sometimes it doesn't come out the way he wants it to.

As Eric Morecambe once famously said "I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order." It's a bit like that and it can be amusing at times if we can both laugh it off, but in the main he gets so frustrated by it all, which is so sad to see.
