Story
On 12th July 2026, our illustrious Chairman, three PHC Staff and a staff members better half, will be swimming one mile across the Camel Estuary, from Padstow to Rock, to raise vital funds to help Marie Curie Nurses continue to care for people at the end of life, whatever the illness.
Cancer is something that unfortunately touches nearly all of our lives, whether we have faced it ourselves or walked beside a loved one through it. We all know someone who has fought this battle and we share a collective understanding of the impact it leaves. We remember Mike Hewitt, a Padstow Harbour Commissioner for many years who passed away in June 2025.
Help us raise money for this wonderful charity who directly helped 70,000 people last year.
All the money raised will help Marie Curie provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.
£3 helps fund a meal for a patient in one of our hospices.
£26 helps help fund an hour of bereavement support by phone or webchat.
£207 helps fund nine hours of overnight nursing care in a patient's home.
Please support Jinx Hewitt, Bryn Phillips, Kelsie Dyer Rob Chapman and Kate Irons in raising money for such a great cause. Thank you so much for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
