Story
I will be running my first national half marathon on the 17th August 2025 (update *10/08/25 - medically advised to reduce race distance to 10k) as part of the Scottish Half Marathon race. This challenge has become so much more than just a race. Recently, I was diagnosed with a lifelong bleeding disorder, which has had a profound impact on both my physical and mental health. But through this journey, running has given me something powerful: a way to regain control and a focus. Physically, it’s helped me push my boundaries, and mentally, it’s been a source of strength and resilience.
That’s why I’m running to raise money for Haemophilia Scotland. They support individuals and families living with inherited bleeding disorders like haemophilia, von Willebrand disease, factor deficiencies, and platelet disorders. They provide crucial resources, advocacy, and funding for research to improve support and care for people like me.
This race has been a symbol of my determination to keep moving forward, and your support will help make a real difference in the lives of others affected by bleeding disorders. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go a long way in supporting this cause.
Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me!
