Great North Run 2024 RNIB

Great North Run 2024 · 8 September 2024 ·
I’m running for RNIB in my first half marathon in Newcastle this year.
I’ve chosen to run for this charity in order to raise money and awareness for everyone struggling with a visual impairment.
I was diagnosed with Uveitis at the end of covid, which rapidly got worse even with treatments. I was able to start a treatment called Imraldi which wouldn’t have been available on the NHS without the work of RNIB with Uvitis patients. It’s not an affordable drug so without it I could have lost my eye sight.
RNIB, the Royal National Institute of Blind People, is the UKs leading sight loss charity. They’re provide practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people, their families and carers. They raise awareness of the experiences of blind and partially sighted people and campaign for change to make our society more accessible for all.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated!
