Story

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my page.

Many people assume that play is a frivolous activity, however, play based learning is a hugely effective and sustainable approach to education. Global research found that in disadvantaged communities across the world, where play-based learning initiatives were implemented, participants achieved 44% higher school graduation rate while the percentage with bachelor’s degrees increased by 17%.

I am proud to say that next summer I will be volunteering with this inspirational charity, to build a playground and work with some of the most vulnerable communities in the world. Childhood should be a time where children can feel safe to explore their world and conquer their fears, yet for so many children in Uganda, experiencing extreme poverty, hunger, and natural/humanitarian disasters, it can be a source of trauma. I am so excited to play a part in building a brighter future for these children through the power of play.

Your support, regardless of it's size, will make a such difference to these children’s lives and will provide them with something invaluable: a safe environment to play, where they can develop their confidence and resilience.
